Repeater list Austria with map and CHIRP export
Which repeater can I reach from here? The map shows the amateur radio repeaters in Austria with frequency, offset, sub-tone and mode. Filtered by band and mode, the selection can be exported as a CHIRP file and programmed straight into the radio.

What the page does
- Repeaters on the map, with distance from your location
- Output and input frequency, offset, CTCSS
- Filter by band and mode
- Export as a CHIRP file
- Range estimate with radio horizon
Background
A repeater receives on its input and transmits simultaneously on its output; the difference is the offset. On 2 m it is usually −600 kHz, on 70 cm in Austria mostly −7.6 MHz. Many repeaters only open with a sub-tone (CTCSS). The CHIRP file contains all these settings so nothing is forgotten when programming.
In practice
How it works: choose your location, filter by band and mode and look at the nearest repeaters. Save the selection as a CHIRP file, open it in CHIRP and transfer it to the radio. Before your first contact via a repeater, check offset and sub-tone – the most common reasons a repeater does not open.
Frequently asked questions
Where does the repeater data come from?
From the publications of the repeater coordination; the source is given in the app. Local changes are possible.
Which radios work with the CHIRP export?
All radios supported by the free CHIRP program. Digital modes are configured separately there.
